Production is the team responsible for the actual strategy, design, and dev work we do. Most people who work at Cantilever are in the Production team. The team operates according to a shared workflow to deliver Digital Hospitality to the people who use our sites.
📏 Workflow Rules
<aside>
☝ Working at Cantilever is probably different from any place you have worked before. It’s really important to learn the concepts below and rely on them – it’s a whole new way to work.

- Take Accountability: By accepting a Task, you accept Accountability for delivering the Definition of Done by the specified date.
- Active Acceptance Only: People should actively accept work and assert that they want the work given the stated constraints, or they should reject the work until the constraints are changed.
- Repect Deadlines: Keep an eye on your task list at all times and never get surprised by upcoming deadlines. When you have a Task with a deadline, think through the sub-steps and write them down to know when you need to finish your part.
- Get Approvals: Most Tasks should have some kind of review (QA, peer review, strategist review). Use an Approval Plan to conduct these.
- Trust the Process. Our process is time-tested and the results of thousands of hours of practice. Stick to it, but make a Process Change Proposal when you notice something that could be better!
