Overview

We like to standardize our development process to make us more efficient and effective. These standards are what we would choose if we were doing a fresh project today.

When we adopt a site via a Tune-Up, we update it to meet these standards (or close) before starting Core Coverage.

We ask that all developers adhere to these rules. Each developer has the freedom to try different approaches on the margins, as long as these rules are met.

Tech Stacks

For New Builds we only use:

• JAM Stack (Typically Next.js or Gatsby) with Sanity as the CMS
• Craft CMS

Local Development

• For local environments, we use DDEV. For more information, see Implementing DDEV
  • For sites which require a database a DDEV script to pull the remote database and import it into DDEV should be included.
• For the build process, we use Vite by default.
• All sites must have linting using ESLint and Prettier
• All sites must have a README file and an entry in the ‣. These must be kept accurate whenever changes occur within the codebase.
• We use Cursor as our IDE.
