Responsibilities
- Set the overall tactical plan for our marketing: Which channels we use, what our posting schedule is, which themes we choose to focus on, and how we structure our campaigns to be most effective
- Work with the CEO to establish our overall brand message and value proposition.
- Work with the internal team, especially the CEO , to get authoritative source content for use in marketing materials, including written and video content
- Using this source material, coordinate the creation of key pieces of content, including blog posts, video and social media posts, working with the Marketing Manager to get them posted.
- Coordinate and oversee all content marketing activity, working closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure that content is going live as planned, reviewing content before it is posted, and eliminate blockers.
- Coordinate and oversee our paid marketing, either running campaigns directly or working with internal team members/agencies.
- Act as the “client” for our internal website team, giving them instructions for what work to pursue, approving internal “spend” and following up to help them optimize the website within our overall strategy.
- Monitor our SEO position, conduct keyword research, and work with our website team to optimize the site for search
- Stay abreast of the website industry and global trends to ensure that our messaging connects with it appropriately and that we are taking advantage of opportunities.
