Managers are responsible for setting up 1:1s which should generally be 15 minutes long.

  • Full-timers: Once a week
  • Hourly team members who generally do 10+ hours/week: Once every two weeks
  • Hourly team members generally <10 hours/week: Once per month

The 1:1 can be of any format but generally asking these two questions leads to a productive 15 minute 1:1:

  • How’s life?
  • How’s work?

1:1s are a great opportunity to give feedback.
