We use “Cost Rates” in Harvest to compute project profitability. These are added on the person’s Harvest settings page.
For Contributors, simply use their rate.
For Core Team, use their hourly rate times 1.25.
If they are Full Time, divide their salary by 1600 (the number of expected Harvest hours per year, after PTO, Holidays and 24 hours of sick pay) to get their hourly rate.
If they are international, use their hourly times 1.125. This reflects that we pay them as contractors and have no employee tax, but still have other misc costs we don’t have for contributors such as equipment and perks.
